The Empowered Life
The Power is in God’s Love
Series: From Easter to Pentecost
Romans 8:31-39
We KNOW the POWER of GOD’s LOVE is present when
1. WHEN HE BECOMES OUR REFUGE AND REST
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
2. WE RECOGNIZE WE ARE REDEEMED
“He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us [graciously give us] all things.”
3. WHEN WE REALIZE WE ARE RESTORED
“Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.”
4. WHEN WE REMEMBER HIS RESURRECTION
“Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus who died. More than that was raised to life. He’s at the right hand of God. He’s also interceding for us. Who can condemn us?”
“He condemned sin in sinful man…” Rom. 8:3
4 ways I know this to be true.
· Jesus died for me
· Jesus lives for me
· Jesus sits on the right hand of God
· Jesus prays for me
5. WHEN WE REMAIN IN HIM AND HE REMAINS IN US
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. It’s written, ‘For your sake, we face death all day long. We’re considered sheep to be slaughtered.’ [Even when we face death it’s for your sake.] No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor demons neither the present nor the future nor powers nor heights nor depths nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
